Call during office hours:
- Call the office where your child is usually seen.
- Be clear about whether you need advice or an appointment.
- Give us reasonable times/ways to reach you with our response.
- If you have a detailed message, fax or e-mail the message if you can.
We are happy to answer questions over the phone. When you leave a message, please be clear about how soon you need a response.
Non-urgent messages: You can avoid waiting on hold during office hours by calling when we’re closed and leaving a message, or by faxing or e-mailing.
Any time of day, if you feel your child is experiencing a life threatening matter call 911 or immediately go to the nearest pediatric emergency room.
After Hours Care
After our normal office hours, please call (510) 652-1743 for instructions on how to reach the on-call doctor or nurse advice line. You can use e-mail for non-urgent questions.
After Hours Urgent Advice Lines
Check to see if your insurance plan offers a 24-hour nurse phone advice line; you can find this information on the front or the back of your child's health insurance card.
You can also call the advice nurse at the Pediatric Emergency Referral Clinic (PERC) at (510) 486-8344. If needed, the advice nurse can schedule a after hours appointment at the PERC clinic. For more information visit: www.PERCclinic.com
If you are having an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest pediatric emergency room for assistance.
Email a provider with your medical questions
You may e-mail the providers with your medical questions or you may call your local Kiwi office. Please do not e-mail any information that contains personal health information as this portal is not secured. Please note, e-mail is only for problems that do not need an immediate response. All E-Mail correspondence will be responded to within 72 hours. Please call your local Kiwi Pediatrics office for URGENT medical matters.

Email the office for appointments or other non-urgent requests
When requesting an appointment by email please include your child's name, date of birth, your contact phone number, the purpose of the visit, which provider you'd like to see, and what time and day you'd like the appointment. We will respond to you as soon as we can to confirm an appointment time for your child.
Record requests, camp forms, etc...
Parents may bring forms to their local Kiwi office or you may e-mail a request to have your child's school or sports form completed. Please include your child's name, date of birth, an attachment of the form, your name, which office your child is seen at, and your best contact phone number. Please allow up to 5 days for completion. We've have posted the generic versions of some forms on our Forms page.

Do not call for medication refills outside of office hours. The easiest way to get refills is to have your pharmacy request the refill; after you call your pharmacy, they will contact our office.
